Please accept my apology for the longgggg hiatus! Life was life-ing, and it pulled me in a totally different direction. But the ways of the world have brought me right back here.
If you’ve been paying attention to what’s happening in America right now, you can see that she’s in a very bad place. Life as we once knew it is gone — and we’re heading into uncertain, even frightening times.
I won’t list all the reasons why I’m back, but here’s one:
A few weeks ago, the Department of Defense quietly removed Jackie Robinson’s military legacy from their website — supposedly due to ‘DEI’. A few hours later, the page was restored at the same URL. Whether it was a mistake or not, it happened. And if it happened once, it can happen again.
Starting next Tuesday, you’ll receive a story every week about our history. Some you may already know. Others you may not. These stories are here to educate, inform, and inspire. They’re reminders of our ancestors’ strength, courage, and resilience — qualities we can lean on today. Qualities we need right now.
Why am I doing this?
Because our history is at risk. It can be erased at any moment — and we can’t depend on the government to protect it.
So I’m reviving this newsletter. I’m sharing our history. Because someone has to. Someone has to teach our children the truth. Because at the end of the day... we’re all we’ve got!
Thank you for your continued support!
Signed,
E.
